Answers to the usual questions
Using it on a phone at the bay
How it behaves on a phone, adding it to your home screen, and what happens on a bad signal.
Receiving happens standing up, so every screen works on a phone. There is nothing to install from an app store; it runs in the browser you already have.
Put it on your home screen
So you are not typing an address every morning:
- iPhone. Open dockcount.com in Safari, press the share button, then Add to Home Screen.
- Android. Open it in Chrome, press the three dots, then Add to Home screen.
It then opens like any other icon on the phone.
The camera
Photographing the slip or some damage opens the camera straight away. You do not have to take the picture first and find it afterwards.
Put another way
Paying by phone at a till. The card is already in there; you are not going back to the car for your wallet.
Staying signed in
You stay signed in for thirty days, so it will not ask for a password every morning. On a shared dock terminal, sign out when you walk away, or the next delivery is recorded under your name.
Worth knowing
A weak signal at the back of a warehouse will slow a photograph going up. If it hangs, walk towards the office and it will finish. Nothing is lost while you move.
