Terms of service

DockCount is operated by DockCount, based in the Philippines. Where these terms say we, that is us. Where they say you, that is the business whose name is on the account, and everyone you invite into it.

An account belongs to the business, not to the person who opened it. If the person who signed up leaves, an admin on the account can remove them and carry on.

A place to record purchase orders, check deliveries against them, photograph what arrived, and keep the result where the rest of the business can find it. The plan you choose sets how many people can sign in, how many locations you run, and whether a photographed slip gets read for you. The current limits are on the pricing page.

We add and change things as we go. If a change removes something your plan included, we will say so by email before it happens.

The subscription fee for the plan you picked, monthly, in advance. Lemon Squeezy sells the subscription and takes the payment; they are the merchant of record, which means the receipt and the sales tax come from them.

Fees exclude tax unless the checkout says otherwise. If a payment fails we will keep the account open while we retry. After that the account drops to the Starter plan rather than locking: a dock that cannot log a delivery goes back to paper, and nobody deserves that on a Tuesday morning.

To keep the service running, to keep your data yours, and to give it back in a readable form whenever you ask. There is a CSV export built in on the Pro plan; on any plan you can write to us and we will send you everything on the account.

We do not promise a specific uptime figure, because a number nobody measures publicly is worth nothing. What we do promise is that if the service is down we are working on it, and that we will tell you what happened.

• Share one login between several people. Add them as users instead; that is what the seat count is for.
• Upload anything you do not have the right to upload.
• Try to get at another business's data, or at parts of the system that are not yours.
• Resell access, or run the service on behalf of businesses who are not paying for it.
• Automate against the service in a way that degrades it for everyone else.

The acceptable use policy covers this in more detail. Breaking it badly enough gets the account suspended, and we will tell you why.

Your purchase orders, deliveries, photographs and receiving records belong to you. We store and process them so the service works, and for nothing else. We do not sell them, we do not advertise against them, and we do not train models on them.

The privacy policy says what we hold and who else touches it. The subprocessor list names every company involved.

Cancel whenever you like, from the billing page. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the account working until the month you already paid for runs out.

We can end an account for non-payment, or for a serious breach of the acceptable use policy. Except where the law requires otherwise, we will give you thirty days to export your records before anything is deleted.

DockCount records what your team says arrived. It does not verify it, and a photograph read by software can be read wrong. The person signing for the delivery is the one who decides what is true, and the record is theirs.

So we are not liable for business losses, lost profit, or a decision made on a record that turned out to be wrong. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else the law says cannot be limited.

When we change something that matters, we will email the account admins at least thirty days before it takes effect. Carrying on using the service after that accepts the new version. If you would rather not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of the month.

These terms are governed by the law of the Philippines, and its courts have jurisdiction. Before anyone goes near a court, write to support@dockcount.com. Most things end there.
