Plans, data and the awkward bits
Paying, changing plan and cancelling
How subscriptions work, who takes the payment, and what happens when you stop.
Plans are monthly and paid in advance. Only an admin can change them, from settings.
Who you are actually paying
Lemon Squeezy sells the subscription and takes the payment. They are the merchant of record, which means their name is on your card statement and they handle the sales tax. Card details go to them and never reach us.
Put another way
Buying through a market stall rather than from the maker directly. The stall takes your money, gives you the receipt, and sorts the tax. The thing you bought is still ours.
Moving up or down
- Moving up takes effect immediately and is charged for the days left in the month.
- Moving down takes effect at the next renewal, so you keep what you paid for until then.
- Moving down past a limit you are using says what is in the way first, rather than quietly locking something.
If a plan is more than you need
Moving down a plan is usually the answer rather than stopping altogether, and it is the same screen. The free tier keeps 25 deliveries a month and every record you have already made, so a quiet month does not have to mean starting again later.
Cancelling
Cancel in settings, from the same page. The account keeps working to the end of the month you paid for and then drops to the free tier. Your records stay where they are.
Worth knowing
Cancelling is not deleting. Everything you have received is still there and still searchable on the free tier.
Did this page miss something?
If you came here with a question and left without the answer, that is a fault in the page rather than in the question. Tell us what you were trying to do and we will write it up, usually the same week.
