Keeping on top of it

Telling purchasing

The summary email sent when a delivery is confirmed, and who decides where it goes.

On the Business plan and above, confirming a delivery emails a summary to whoever needs to know. The point is that nobody has to walk to an office or remember to mention it.

A flat illustration seen over someone’s shoulder as they sit at a desk reading a delivery summary on a laptop, a mug and a small stack of paper beside it.
The person who has to do something about a short delivery is rarely the person standing at the bay.

What the email says

  • The vendor and the order number.
  • How much arrived against how much was expected.
  • Every line that was flagged, and why.
  • Who signed for it, and when.
  • A link into the full record, including any damage photographs.

Put another way

A text from a delivery driver saying what they left and what was missing, instead of you finding out when the invoice does not add up.

Where it goes

An admin sets the addresses in settings. Your own address is added when you sign up. Most businesses put purchasing and accounts on it.

Worth knowing

Summary emails are switched off on the free and Starter plans. Everything is still recorded; nobody is told automatically.
